Instructions / Assembly

- Begin by removing the nut from the through bolt.
- Next remove the through bolt from the pitman arm.
- Slide the two link arms onto each side of the pulling bar, with the pulling pins entering the pitman arms
through bolt hole. Align the wedge with the pitman arms parting line and hand tighten the screw until
the assembly is tight and in the correct position.
- Continue to turn the forcing screw with a wrench or air ratchet until the wedge has spread the pitman
arm sufficiently to allow the pitman arm to be removed. Use caution not to spread the arm excessively.
Preventative Maintenance Tip:
Always keep forcing screw clean and lubricated at all times with SAE 30 lube for the threads.
NOTE: For more information, reference the steering box manufacturers service instructions or the vehicle
service manual for your vehicles specific specifications.
