5.8.10 HF Activation
When the operator requests a cutting operation to begin, after the start voltage is acquired, the control
board will energize the onboard K1 relay. This occurs when IC2 pin 10 biases transistor Q1 into conduc-
tion. This allows the relay K1 to close, sending 120VAC out of the PCB1 control board on P2-12 and P2
-13. This voltage is routed to the spark gap unit for HF generation.
