Micro tool / Ergo tool
The electronically temperature-
controlled and fully antistatic ERSA
TWIN 80 A soldering station meets
both conventional and SMD solder-
ing requirements, being equipped
with two separately controlled
soldering tools:
The ultra-light ERSA Micro tool
SMD soldering iron providing 30 W
at 280°C (545°F), and the ergonom
-
i-cally designed ERSA Ergo tool
providing 75 W at 280°C (545°F).
The two soldering tools can be
used simultaneously and controlled
separately. This allows you to work
on mixed-technology PCBs and to
avoid tool, tip, and temperature
changes that would otherwise be
necessary. The exceptionally easy-
to-handle and ultra-light (25 g/1 oz)
ERSA Micro tool has a complete
range of SMD soldering tips, from
the 0.2 mm (0.008“) pencil-type
tip to the revolutionary ERSA Micro
Well tip for installing SMT compo-
nents in a matter of seconds.
The ERSA Ergo tool tips range from
the 0.4 mm (0.016“) pencil-type tip to
the 5.0 mm (0.2“) chisel-type tip,
which means it can
satisfy virtually
all soldering require
ments. The pro-
ven ERSA RESISTRONIC control
system, which measures the resi-
stance of the heating element, regula-
tes the power applied in accordance
with the soldering requirements. The
potential equalization jack on the front
of the station ensures the safety of the
components. The two multifunctional
holders with their swiveling sponge
containers also function as hot tip hol-
ders. In addition, the holder is de-
signed so that you can use ERSA sol-
dering irons with virtually any commer-
cially available solder fume extraction
system provided you have an adapter.
