3. Enter the MAC address to be filtered and click the 'OK' button. A MAC address list appears, upon which the
selected filtering action (allow/deny) will be performed.

1. Navigate to Local Network Wireless. The Wireless Overview screen appears. In the Wireless Overview
screen, you can find the Security Section

2. Select the security type for the connection: None, Authentication Only, or Password Protected (WPA,
WPA2, WPA and WPA2 combined).

Security Method
There are 4 security options in the W40 (WPA, WPA2, WPA and
WPA2, Authentication only)
Authentication Method
If WPA, WPA2 or WPA and WPA2 methods are chosen, use “pre-
shared key” authentication method.
Pre-Shared Key
This entry appears only if you selected this authentication method.
Enter your encryption key in the 'Pre-Shared Key' field. You can use
either an ASCII or a Hex value by selecting the value type in the
drop-down menu provided.
Note: The pre shared key is key sensitive
Encryption Algorithm
Select between Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) and
Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for the encryption algorithm.
Note: TKIP can be used in a mixed 802.11g/n or 802.11b/g/n modes
Group Key Update Interval
Defines the time interval in seconds for updating a group key.
