Problems You Can Solve
This chapter lists some simple things you should check before calling
for service personnel. This could save you the cost of unnecessary
service.
The Phone Does Not Come On
Handheld phone:
The battery may have to be charged or replaced.
Handsfree phone in vehicle:
Ensure that the phone is properly inserted in its holder.
Check the fuse. The fuse holder is fitted to the battery cable, near the
vehicle’s battery.
Wrong PIN or PIN2 Has Been Entered
Enter the correct PIN or PIN2, and press YES.
The SIM Card Has Been Blocked
If the PIN code has been entered incorrectly three times in succession
the card will be blocked. The following message will appear:
Press YES to unblock the SIM card.
Enter your personal unblocking key (PUK) and press YES.
The PUK is obtained from your network operator or service provider
when you purchase your SIM card.
Enter a new PIN code and press YES.
You can of course also enter the PIN code you used previously.
If you have entered both the unblocking key and the PIN code correctly,
the message New PIN appears.
Note! If the PUK is entered incorrectly 10 times in succession the SIM
card will be permanently blocked. You need to contact your network
operator or service provider.
The PIN2 Code
The procedure outlined above also applies to the PIN2 code. Use the
PUK2 to unlock the code. The PUK2 code is obtained from your
network operator or service provider.
