APPENDIX 7 APPLYING A HD LICENSE KEY
As part of the RLS & WNE HD upgrade program, all RX8200 units must have the following 3 specific licenses enabled in
order to for satellite lock and HD video reception to be available through the receiver. The enabled/disabled features on
any RX8200 can be viewed through the Customization tab under Licensed Features.

If these 3 features are not enabled on your RX8200 then you’ll not be able to tune into new satellite signals for RLS and
WNE. A list of licenses keys are available on The Reuters Hub.
 Each RX8200 has a unique key.
 Open the Hub link and search the document using the Serial Number of the RX unit or the Unique Hardware ID
(called Serial Number) under the Customization tab.
 Copy and paste the appropriate License Key in the Custom Key filed under Parameters on the Customization tab.

 Select Apply Changes for the key to be entered and then reboot the RX8200 for the key to become Enabled.

 Following a reboot, a preconfiguration file can then be applied for a new satellite region successfully to lock the
receiver to a signal automatically.
