Function characteristics
Specific details on some of the functions you can program on the
programmable keys.
Name Selection
Name Selection is the basic function for all programmable keys and
it means that a call can be initiated by pressing one single
designated key.
Note: Name Selection is also called Dial-by-Name.
Name selection is used to obtain the following functions:
Extensions or facilities can be called via a directory number
External call subscribers can be accessed via a Common
Abbreviated Number
Postdialling to initiate facilities that are activated via post-dialling
External Line
With this function, an external line is represented by a pre-
programmed key on the telephone. For each external line, a
Function key has to be programmed. Which means that you are
able to monitor the state of traffic for every programmed external
line (e.g. free, busy). You can also establish an external call by
pressing the External Line key.
