What is a Multi-functional Master Clock?
A Multi-functional Master Clock is capable of generating/receiving and outputting multiple time signals for system
wide (and cross system) time synchronization. Here is a quick list of possibilities:

What is a Dedicated Master Clock?
A Dedicated Master Clock generally inputs only one time signal and outputs only one time signal. For example, the
NTP100-GPS receives its time signal from GPS satellites and outputs NTP time. The TCO100 has an internal
oscillator that generates the time and outputs time code. And the NTP100-TC receives time code and outputs NTP.

The Multi-functional Master Clocks are modular
and customizable. An example system could
receive its primary time signal from GPS satellites
and output that signal to both your network via
NTP and audio/video equipment via time code. If
the GPS receiver loses signal, our master clock has
an internal oscillator that it will automatically
switch to during a loss and then back from when
the GPS signal returns. All of this is contained in
one device.
