4.1 Layered Views
There are three important views of an RBS node, each showing a specific
aspect and containing several layers:
• Platform View
− Common Platform Layer
− Application Program Layer
• Traffic control view
− Traffic Service Layer
− Logical Resource Layer
− Equipment Layer
− Hardware Layer
• Management view
− Presentation Layer
− Management Adaption Layer
− Resource Layer
Platform View
The platform view consists of two layers: the common platform layer and the
application program layer. The application program layer is the software
executing on top of the common platform. So, from the platform point of view,
there is no specific structure for the application program.
