Sub-RU A sub-replaceable unit is always
connected to a superior Main RU. This
connection is used for example for
retrieval of the RU identity. A sub-RU
normally does not have a processor. Note
that an RU with a processor, which cannot
be loaded, is classied as a sub-RU.
