ddTMA
The Dual-Duplex Tower-Mounted Amplifier (ddTMA) is installed on a mast,
close to the antenna. The ddTMA improves receiver sensitivity and saves
feeder cables by duplexing RX and TX signals to the same cable.
DXX
A one- or two-card Digital Cross-Connect (DXX) plug-in unit can be installed in
a space for optional equipment (OXU) on the PSU/DXU subrack in the RBS
2206 (not RBS 2206 V2). The one-card version has four G.703/G.704 ports.
The two-card version has four G.703/G.704 ports and one slot for two to four
additional interfaces that can be G.703/G.704 ports, High Bit Rate Digital
Subscriber Line (HDSL), LTE, or optical fibre.

DF
The Distribution Frame (DF) is the termination point for incoming PCM, ESB,
GPS, and alarm cables. It contains overvoltage protection for the external
cables.

ESB
Transceiver Group (TG) synchronization is the technology used to expand
one RBS cabinet with another RBS cabinet in the same cell. The External
Synchronization Bus (ESB) is the cable connected between the DXUs.

HCU
The Hybrid Combiner Unit (HCU) contains three hybrid combiners. Each hybrid
combines two RF signals, delivered from two dTRUs, into one.

19-inch Space for Optional Equipment
A 2U-high 19-inch space for optional equipment, for which the RBS provides
climate control.
OXU
The following space for optional expansion (OXU) is available:
• Four positions (RBS 2206) or two positions (RBS 2206 V2) in the DXU/PSU
subrack
• A 1U-high 19-inch OXU position is available between the CXU and the
dTRU subrack.
