CD U-J
1 Product Overview
This d ocument descr ibes the CDU-J. A r ange of CDU types have been
developed to support different configurations. The choice depends upon the
operator’s initial and future requirements.
The C DU-J handles one dTRU and provides a low capacity, high output pow er
configuration. The CDU-J supports both synthesizer and bas eband frequenc y
hopping.
1.1 Main Functions
The CDU-J has the following main functions:
• Enables connect ion of two transmitter (TX) signals to two antennas. The
TX signal can be two combined signals, or two uncombined signals. A
CDU-J has no com bining circuits; the combining takes place outside the
CDU.
• Provides simultaneous transmission and reception on each an te nna.
• Amplifies two receiver ( RX) signals from two antennas for furth er
distribution in the Splitter unit, if any, otherwise the signals are passed
directly t o the dTRU
1.2 Var iants
CDU-J is available for GSM 800, P-GSM 900, E-GSM 900, GSM 1800 and
GSM 1900.
