External connections to TM
Optical fiber and MiniLink radio cables are connected to the TM via connection
field 3. Twisted pair cables connect to the TM via the OVP.
Transport Network to TM
The external line from the transport network interfaces to the transport
module. The type and impedance of the connector may differ from operator to
operator.
6.2 Test interface
The RBS 2106 is equipped with test interfaces for connection of external
equipment.
13 MHz reference signal The 13 MHz reference signal used to synchronise
test equipment is located on the DXU.
System voltage test The system voltage test port provides access to the
system voltage (+24 V DC). It is located on the
IDM.
OMT The OMT interface is located on the front of the
DXU.
6.3 Operator Interface
The Man-Machine Interface (MMI) in the RBS 2106 is comprised of indicators
and buttons located on the hardware units in the cabinet.
