channel The common term channel denotes the virtual
connection, consisting of physical and logical channels,
between BSS and MS, during a call in progress.

A physical channel on an air interface carrying a defined
set of logical channels.
Channel group
A channel group is a group of dedicated logical
channels to a specific MS.
CM
Macro = Control Module (for TMA)
Micro = Common Mode
CMD
Digital Radio Communication Tester
CMRU
Central Main Replaceable Unit.
The RBS is physically connected to the Base Station
Controller (BSC) via the CMRU. There is only one
CMRU in each RBS (DXU or IXU). In RBSs without
DXU or IXU the whole RBS is regarded as CMRU.
