4. SelectStart Setup.
When Wi-Fi Direct (simple AP) connection is enabled, network (SSID) and password is displayed.
5. Close the screen.
Note:
From smart devices, connect to the printer using the network (SSID) and password displayed on the printer's control
panel.
Changing the Wi-Fi Direct (Simple AP) Settings
When Wi-Fi Direct (simple AP) connection is enabled, you can change the settings from > Wi - F i
Direct > Change Settings, and then the following menu items are displayed.
Changing password
Change the Wi-Fi Direct (simple AP) password for connecting to the printer to your arbitrary value. You can set
the password in ASCII characters that is displayed on the soware keyboard on the control panel.
When changing the password, all connected devices are disconnected. Use the new password if you want to re-
connect the device.
Disabling Wi-Fi Direct (simple AP)
Disable Wi-Fi Direct (simple AP) settings of the printer. When disabling it, all devices connected to the printer in
Wi-Fi Direct (Simple AP) connection are disconnected.
Deleting the information of the smart device
Delete the (registered) information of the smart device saved to the printer when connecting by Wi-Fi Direct
(simple AP).
If you have an Android device that supports Wi-Fi Direct function, you can connect it to the printer by using that
function. e printer keeps the device information if you register the device as a permitted device or a rejected
device when connecting by Wi-Fi Direct function. Registered device is permitted or rejected when connecting by
Wi-Fi Direct function next time depending on the registered information of the printer.
Note:
To enable/disable Wi-Fi Direct (simple AP) or delete the information of the registered device, you can also set up from
Network tab > Wi -Fi D ir e c t on Web Cong.
Changing the Connection Method
Change the connection method. Make this setting on the network enabling condition.
If the IP address assignment setting is manual, conrm with the network administrator whether the same IP
address can be used on the new network.
Note:
When the Wi-Fi connection is enabled, the Ethernet connection is disabled.
