Ribbon Cassette Handling Precautions

Use only the ribbon cassette specified in Chapter 1 of this manual. If another ribbon cassette

is used, any of the following may occur:

• Print quality deterioration

• Printer life may be shortened

•Ink may leak

• The ribbon may catch on the print head.

Do not re-ink a ribbon. If a ribbon is re-inked:

• Print quality could deteriorate due to a malfunction of the print wires

•Ink may leak.

Replacing the Paper Roll

Note:

Be sure to use roll paper that meets the specifications.

1. Turn on the printer.

2. Open the printer cover.

3. Pull the paper and cut the paper at the dotted line shown in the illustration below.
