Servicing Precautions
During servicing and repair of the printer, observe the following points.
❏ Use the correct main circuit board
❏ Use the correct DIP switch setting table
❏ Use the correct circuit diagram
For details, please see the following sections.
Using the correct main circuit board
When replacing the main circuit board, select the correct board for the printer. Determine the
board according to the following sequence.
1. Check whether the printer is an ANK font model/Japanese font model/Chinese font
model/Taiwanese font model. If it is an ANK font model, proceed to next step. For the other
models, go to step 3.
2. Check the setting of DIP switch set DSW2 according to the information given in the section
"Using the correct DIP switch setting table" on the next page.
3. Select the correct main circuit board according to the following table.
In future, main circuit boards other than those listed above may also become available. Check
for the latest information as follows.
1. Check the model code (noted on manufacturing name plate).
2. Obtain the parts price list matching the model code.
Note:
There are two different parts price lists, one for the EP- ROM equipped model, and one for the flash
memory model. Choose the parts price list for the flash memory model.
