Check that the paper hold plate spring is not caught on the base frame assembly.

Carriage motor assembly
1. Fit the A corners of the carriage motor assembly under the B corners of the base frame
assembly. Then slide the carriage motor assembly in the direction of the arrow to fit the
other two corners of the carriage motor assembly under the tabs of the base frame assembly.
