The following is the installation procedure:
1. Place {spring-button} on the {paper guide} dowel.
2. Align the top of {spring-button} with the inside of {button-open}.
CAUTION:
Be sure to hold {spring-button} during this procedure. Otherwise, {spring-button} may
suddenly fly out, creating the danger of eye injury.
3. Insert the protruding part of {button-open} into the groove in {paper guide}. See the
illustration below.
4. Check to make sure that the force of {spring-button} moves {button-open} to its original
position when you remove your hand from {button-open}. Press {button-open} two or three
times to check for correct operation.
5. Install {paper detector assembly} in its position. Make sure it is secured with the two dowels.
6. Slide {plate-shield} into place.
