Are you using the recommended ink cartridge (i.e. genuine
Epson product)?
This product is color adjusted assuming the use of a genuine Epson
ink cartridge. If an ink cartridge other than a genuine Epson ink
cartridge is used, the print quality may be poor. We recommend the
use of a genuine Epson ink cartridge.
Are you using an old ink cartridge?
When an old ink cartridge is used, the print quality may be poor. The
expiration date of an ink cartridge is indicated on the individual
package of the ink cartridge.
Is the print head gap misaligned?
To enable high-speed printing, in this product, ink is discharged both
when the print head moves to the right and when it moves to the left.
In rare occasions, the print position when the head moves from right
to left becomes misaligned from the print position when the head
moves from left to right, and as a result vertical lines may become
misaligned or the print result may become blurry. Use the gap
adjustment function to verify and adjust the gap misalignment.
For details, see "Gap Adjustment" on page 166.
Is the paper feed amount correctly adjusted?
If the paper feed amount is too large, white bands may appear in
the printout, and when it is too small, the printout may become
overlapped. Use the gap adjustment function to verify and adjust the
paper feed amount.
For details, see "Gap Adjustment" on page 166.
