1-4 Stylus Scan Parts and Functions
The control panel is composed of four major parts.
Status indicators: The status of the Stylus Scan is indicated with
these two lights.
Printer: The printer is controlled with these two buttons.
Scanner: The Scan button controls scanner operation.
Light Status
Operate Comes on when the Stylus Scan is on.
Flashes when warming up, receiving data, copying, printing,
scanning, replacing an ink cartridge, charging ink, or cleaning
the print head.
Error Comes on when the Stylus Scan has an error.
Check the message on the LCD panel for details.
Button Function
Load/Eject
If released quickly: Feeds or ejects paper loaded at sheet
feeder. If print head is at ink cartridge change location, it
returns to home position.
If held for 3 seconds: Moves the print head to the color or
black ink cartridge change position.
Cleaning
If released quickly: No action unless the print head is at the
cartridge change position. If the head is at the change
position, it returns to the home position.
If held for 3 seconds: Starts cleaning the print head; or, if a
cartridge is low or if a cartridge is missing, the print head
moves to the cartridge-replacement position.
Button Function
Scan
The hardware switch to execute scanning and transfer the
scanned image to assigned application software. To use this
feature, you need to set up the software.
