Control box
1. Sensor light
Displays the status of the Auto Take-up Reel Unit.
2. Auto switch
It automatically winds the roll paper after printing.
3. Manual switch
It manually winds the roll paper after printing. This
mode becomes available when the Auto switch is Off.
Winding paper forward
A
Plug the power cord into an outlet and make
sure the sensor light is on.

Turn on the printer by pressing the button.

Make sure the Auto Take-up Reel Unit icon is
displayed on the LCD panel.
If the icon is not displayed, make sure the Auto
Take-up Reel Unit is connected properly and
the power is on.

Set the roll paper.
See “Loading roll paper” on page 32

Press the button to select Roll Auto Cut Off
or Roll Auto Cut On .
F
Press the button to feed the roll paper.
Light Status
On It is ready to use.
Flashing rapidly It is operating.
Flashing slowly It is in the power-saving
mode.
Long interval of flashing It has an error.
Off It is off.
Item Description
Backward It automatically winds the roll paper with
printed surface inside.
Forward It automatically winds the roll paper with
printed surface outside.
Off Do not rewind the roll paper.
Item Description
Backward It winds the roll paper with printed
surface inside. It becomes faster by
pressing this button for 3 seconds.
Forward It winds the roll paper with printed
surface outside. It becomes faster by
pressing this button for 3 seconds.
