Installing the Print Server Software

EpsonNet WebAssist

The EpsonNet WebAssist program, which resides on the print server hardware, does

not have to be installed. It enables you to configure the print server using one of the

following browsers:

■

Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or later

■

Netscape Navigator version 3.02 or later

■

Netscape Communicator

4.0 or later

The Update Home Page function in EpsonNet WebAssist may not work

if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 with Macintosh.

EpsonNet WebManager

EpsonNet WebManager lets you monitor and control all your network printers. It

supports Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX platforms and allows you to manage

EPSON printers that support the printer MIB (Management Information Base)

standard, RFC 1759.

Although EpsonNet WebManager supports multiple network platforms, you can only

install it in a Windows environment. Make sure you check the

README.TXT

file in

the

ENWEBM\DISK1

directory on the Printer Software CD-ROM for the latest

information.

EpsonNet WebManager online manual for more information about using the

software.

TCP/IP and a web browser must already be installed before you can

install EpsonNet WebManager.
