3. Open the front cover.
4. Use a soft cloth to remove dust and dirt from the platen. Thoroughly clean the area shown in blue in
the image below. Wipe from the inside to the outside of the platen to clean it as shown here.
Note: For stubborn dirt, dampen a soft cloth with neutral detergent and wring it out, then clean the
platen as shown above. Dry the platen with a soft, dry cloth when you are finished.
