Plain Paper You can select the media type that is the closest
to the paper you are using.

No Paper Selected Select this option if you do not wish to specify the
paper type.
Platen Gap Narrow Select the platen gap, which is the distance
between the print head and the paper. Normally,
select Standard. Select a wider setting if printed
images are smeared. If, upon performing head
alignment, you feel that it is still not completely
aligned, select Narrow.
