Locking the General Settings
If you have set an administrator password, you can use the Web Config interface or the control panel to
prevent non-administrators from changing the settings in the General Settings menu.
1. Make sure you have set an administrator password.
2. Do one of the following:
To lock the settings using Web Config, access Web Config and log in using the administrator
name and password. Select Device Management > Control Panel. Enable the Panel Lock
setting and click OK.
To lock the settings using the control panel, select Menu > General Settings > System
Administration > Security Settings > Admin Settings. Enable the Panel Lock setting. Select
Yes on the confirmation screen.
The settings in the General Settings menu are locked if you are not logged in as an administrator.
