• When lifting the printer, do not place your hands in the following locations:
Note: Before storing your product for a long period, replace low, expended, or expired ink to help
prevent the print head from drying out. Store your product in a cool, dry place.
1. If you are packaging the printer for transport, remove any loaded paper.
2. Turn off the printer and remove all connected cables.
3. Do one of the following:
• If you are moving the printer to another location on the same floor, remove the optional
SpectroProofer and Auto Take-up Reel, if installed. Unlock the casters and move the printer to the
new location.
• If you are packaging the printer for transport, remove all optional accessories and continue with
the next step.
Note: To uninstall optional accessories, see the documentation that came with them.
4. Package the printer in the original box and shipping materials. Be sure to lift the printer according to
the guidelines listed here.
5. Secure the print head and roll paper spindle using the packing material you retained during printer
setup.
