CHAPTER 2: POWER SUPPLY AND INITIAL RESET
POWER SUPPLY AND INITIAL RESETCHAPTER 2
2.1 Power Supply
With a single external power supply (3 V *1) supplied to VDD/VDDA
through VSS/VSSA, the S1C62740 generates the necessary internal
voltage with the regulated voltage circuit (<V
D1> for oscillators,
<V
C1> for LCDs), the voltage booster circuit (<VC2, VC3> for LCDs)
and the voltage dividing circuit (<GND> ≈ V
DDA/2, reference voltage
for analog circuit).
Figure 2.1.1 shows the configuration of power supply.
*1 Supply voltage: During A/D operation …2.4 to 5.5 V
During A/D stop …2.2 to 5.5 V
• External loads cannot be driven by the regulated voltage and voltage
booster circuit's output voltage.
• See Chapter 7, "ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS" for voltage values.
Note:
• An external voltage can be impressed
to the GND terminal.
• Open V
RA terminal when VR1 is
impressed from the outside.
• Remove resistors between V
R1–VRA
and between GND–VRA when VR1 is
impressed from outside.
