Windows System Requirements
To use your printer and its software, your system should have:
■ A Microsoft
®
Windows compatible PC with a Pentium
®
-equivalent processor (800
MHz or faster recommended)
■ Microsoft Windows 98SE, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows
XP Professional x64 Edition, or Windows Vista
■ 256MB RAM for Windows 98SE, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows XP,
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
512MB RAM for Windows Vista (1GB recommended)
■ 300MB free hard disk space (550MB or more recommended)
■ 4x or faster CD-ROM or DVD drive for installing the printer software
■ A Windows-compliant USB port and shielded USB “AB” cable up to 6.5 feet
(2 meters) long. Using an improperly shielded USB cable may cause the printer to
malfunction.
Macintosh System Requirements
To use your printer and its software, your system should have:
■ An Apple Macintosh PowerPC
®
or Intel
®
Core
™
processor
■ Macintosh OS X 10.2.8, or 10.3.9 to 10.4.x
■ 256MB RAM (512MB recommended)
■ 300MB free hard disk space (550MB recommended)
■ 4x or faster CD-ROM or DVD drive for installing the printer software
■ A USB port and shielded USB “AB” cable up to 6.5 feet (2 meters) long. Using an
improperly shielded USB cable may cause the printer to malfunction.
