BUSY
OUT This signal indicates whether
or not the printer is ready to
receive the next character.
Data input is normally
possible when this signal is
LOW. However, the phase of
this signal can be changed so
that a LOW level indicates
that the printer is busy by
moving the third jumper under
Ji
from + to -BUSY.

PE OUT This signal, which is normally
LOW, goes HIGH when the
printer runs out of paper.

Pulled up to +5V through a
3.3k ohm resistor inside the
printer.

AUTO FEED IN
When this signal is LOW (and
the first jumper under
Jl
is
set to AUTO) the printer will
add a LF (line feed) to each
CR (carriage return) it
receives.
This signal may be ignored
and assumed to be HIGH whe
the printer is operating in
certain Identity card modes.
