1-2 | Connecting Your Printer and Installing Drivers
Before you install the card, see the documentation that came with it for
setup information. Then follow these steps:
1. Make sure the printer is turned off and the power cord is unplugged.
2. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the
shield plate to the optional interface slot. Then lift off the plate.
Be sure to keep the screws so you can use them if you re-install the shield
plate.
Warning
To prevent electric shock
and avoid damaging the
printer, do not install an
interface card when the
printer is turned on or
connected to an electrical
outlet.
