Solving USB Cable Problems
If your printer does not work correctly with a USB cable, try one or more of
these solutions:
•
Make sure you are using the recommended USB cable as described on
page 1-5.
•
Make sure the
PARA. I/F
setting is
COMPAT
. You can change this
setting using the printer’s control panel, as described on page A-3. If this
problem still occurs, turn the printer off and back on.
•
If you’re using a USB hub, connect the printer to the first tier of the
hub, or connect the printer to the computer’s USB port directly.
•
For Windows systems, try reinstalling the USB printer device driver and
the printer software. First, uninstall
EPSON Printer Software
using
the Add/Remove Programs utility in the Windows Control Panel, then
uninstall
EPSON USB Printer Devices.
Next, reinstall the software,
following the steps on page 1-10. If
EPSON USB Printer Devices
is
not registered in the Add/Remove Programs list, access the CD-ROM
and double-click
Win 9X\epusbun. exe
. Then follow the on-screen
instructions.
•
For Macintosh, you may need to upgrade to System 9.
