Accessing Your System
If you have forgotten your current password, follow these steps
to access your system:
1.
Turn off the computer.
2.
Follow the instructions under “Changing the Jumper
Settings” in Chapter 2 to disable the password function by
setting jumper J13 to position A.
3.
Turn on the computer.
4. When you see Press <F2> to run SETUP, press
[.
You see the SETUP screen. If you do not want to set a new
password, go to step 6. If you want to set a new password,
go to step 5.
5.
To set a new password, highlight Password and press IEnter
Then press
c.
Type a new password at the prompt and
press IEnter You must enter the new password twice. (See
Chapter 2 of the Setup Guide for more information about
setting a password.) Now go to step 7.
6.
To disable password checking, highlight
Password
security and press
IEnter
Then press
&I
or
a
to
change the setting
to Not installed.
(See Chapter 2 of
the Setup Guide for more information.)
7.
Save your settings as you exit SETUP. (See Chapter 2 of the
Setup Guide for instructions.)
8.
Turn off the computer.
9.
Follow the instructions under “Changing the Jumper
Settings” in Chapter 2 to enable the password function by
setting jumper J13 to position B.
