Subject VGA Cable Compatibility
Most computers provide a 15 pin female VGA output connector. However, some computer manufacturers
use a female VGA connector that does not provide a hole for pin 9 on a VGA cable.
The connectors at both ends of the VGA cable for the ELP-3500 projector have all 15 pins in the
connectors. If the computer’s VGA output connector has pin 9 blocked, you will not be able to plug the
projector’s VGA cable into the computer.
Should you encounter a computer which does not provide a hole for pin 9 of the projector’s male VGA
connector, simply remove pin 9 at one end of the ELP-3500 VGA cable, then use the connector with pin 9
removed to plug into the computer’s VGA connector.
The following diagram shows the pin configuration of the projector’s 15 pin VGA connector as seen by
looking at the end of the connector. The before diagram shows the location of pin 9.
