Projector Security Features

You can secure your projector to deter theft or prevent unintended use by
setting up the following security features:
• Lens lock security to disable zoom, focus, and lens shift operations by
locking the [Lens] button.
• Button lock security to block operation of the projector using the buttons
on the projector.
• Security cabling to physically secure the projector in place.

Locking the Projector's Lens Settings and Buttons
You can lock the buttons on the projector to prevent anyone from using the
projector. You can also lock the zoom, focus, and lens shift settings to prevent
them from being adjusted.

Press the [Menu] button, select the Management menu, and press
[Enter].

Select one of these lock types and press [Enter]:
• To lock the [Lens] button on the control panel and remote control to
prevent the zoom, focus, and lens shift settings from being changed,
select Lens Lock.
• To lock the projector's power button, select Child Lock.
To turn the projector on, you must press the power button for longer
than three seconds.

Child Lock does not prevent the projector from turning on
when the power cord is connected if Direct Power On is set to
On in the projector's Operation menu.
• To lock all buttons on the projector, select Control Panel Lock >
Full Lock.
