Using the Control Panel
Printing Menu
These are the most basic settings that you will need for everyday
use. Most can be set using your software. Always check the
software settings as they override settings made in SelecType. See
“Printing Menu” for more information.
Paper Source, Page Size, Wide A4, Orientation, Copies,
Manual Feed, Resolution, Skip Blank Page, Auto Eject Page,
Duplex*, Binding*, Start Page*
* Available only when an optional duplex unit is installed.
Tray Menu
These settings allow you to select the size and type of paper you
loaded in the paper sources. Accessing this menu also lets you
check the size of the paper currently loaded. This information is
automatically transmitted to the printer through the position of
the paper guides in the paper source. Also see “Tray Menu”.
MP Mode, MP Tray Size***, LC1 Size*, LC2 Size**, LC3 Size**,
MPType,LC1Type*,LC2Type**,LC3Type**
* LC1 size and LC2 size display the currently loaded paper size.
** Available only when an optional lower paper cassette unit is installed.
***Do not change the setting during printing.
Config Menu
These settings affect the printer’s performance. See “Config
Menu” for more information.
