File Searches
You can also use the DIR command to search for specific files
on a disk. To do this, enter the DIR command in the following
format:
For instance, if you want to find the directory entry for a file
named “MAYSALE!S.RPT” on the diskette in drive A, enter
the command:
The computer
will search the
entire directory of the diskette
for a file named
MAYSALESRFT.
If a file is found, it will
appear as the
only entry
in the diskette’s directory. If there is
no
MAYSALESRF’T
file on the diskette, the computer will
