The process selection menu appears. Press ↑ or ↓ to select In line and press Enter.

The carriage width select menu appears. Press ↑ or ↓ to select a column width for your printer model, and
press Enter:
FX-880: 80 columns
FX-1180: 136 columns

The main menu appears. Press ↑ or ↓ to select FF paper and press Enter. The printer starts printing the
test pattern.
9.
After the test pattern is printed, turn the printer off to store the factory settings in the EEPROM.
10.
Press Esc several times to quit the program.
