Control Panel Operation
This section tells how to use the FX-880 and FX-1180 control panel.
Control Panel
The printer control panel contains four non-lock-type pushbuttons and one lock-type power button, as well
as various LEDs to report on printer functions.

Overview of Functions
You can use the control panel to access a variety of printer functions; some of these functions are
accessible only when the printer is in certain states, as explained below.
Operation in Normal Mode
During normal operation, the panel buttons perform the functions shown below.

Buttons Function
Operate Turns the printer on and off.
Pause Alternates between printing and non-printing states.
Activates the micro-adjust and font selection functions if
held down for more than 3 seconds while the printer is
not printing (buffer is empty); pressing it again turns
these functions off.
Load/Eject Loads or ejects paper.
Micro feeds forward, when the micro-adjust function is
enabled.
