Run a self-test.
Does anything
print at all?
Make sure the connectors on
the C229 MAIN board are
connected securely.
Do vertical lines in
the printout align?
Perform the
bidirectional
alignment
adjustment.
Is the printing
too faint?
Check the ribbon
and adjust the
platen gap.
Check the FFCs
using a multimeter.
Replace if defective.
Replace the
printhead.
