The Add Port screen appears. Configure the port to be added. Then, click the OK button.
Note:
❏ If the communication with the port failed, an error message appears. In such case, you cannot add the port.
Make sure the printer is connected properly and check your communication settings.
❏ Clicking the Communication test button displays the communication result on the screen. It does not
conduct a test print.
❏ Serial
Setting Description
Port: Selects the serial port of the computer you use.
Search: Searches for available serial ports.
Communication speed: Configures the communication speed.
Parity: Configures the parity.
Data Bit: Configures the bit length.
Stop Bit: Configures the stop bit.
Virtual Port Settings Starts the Virtual Port Settings tool. For details, see the manual for the
Virtual Port Settings tool.
Communication test Runs a communication test.
