Before Printing on Commercially
Available Paper
When using non-Epson media (Custom Paper), make
the paper configuration according to the paper
characteristics before printing. Use one of the following
methods to make settings after loading the target paper.
You can make detailed adjustments to custom paper
settings using Custom Paper Setting in the printer's
Paper menu or the EPSON LFP Remote Panel 2.
Note:
❏ Be sure to check the paper characteristics such as
paper tension, ink fixating, or paper thickness before
setting the custom paper. For the paper's
characteristics, check the paper's documentation or
with your local dealer.
❏ Test the print quality with this printer before
purchasing a large amount of paper.
❏ If colors in printed images on the custom paper are
uneven, use unidirectional printing. For
unidirectional printing, display the Printer Settings
screen (Windows) in the printer driver or Printing
preferences from the list (Mac OS X), select Quality
Options in Print Quality, and then clear the High
Speed check box.
From the printer
Select Custom Paper Setting in the Paper menu.
Buttons that are used in the following settings
A
Press the r button on the printer's control panel
to display the Settings menu.
B
Press the d/u buttons to select Paper, and then
press the r button.
The Paper menu will be displayed.
C
Press the d/u buttons to select Custom Paper
Setting, and then press the r button.
The Custom Paper Setting menu is displayed.
D
Select the custom paper number (1 to 10) that
you want to save the settings to by pressing the
d/u button, and then press the Z button.
If you select a paper number to which settings
have already been saved, the setting is
overwritten.

From the software
Make settings from the EPSON LFP Remote Panel 2
software supplied, and save to the printer. For details,
see the EPSON LFP Remote Panel 2 help.
From the printer driver
Make settings from the printer driver, and save to a
computer.

Open the Main screen, and save settings in Paper
Configuration and Custom Settings.

Select Print Settings from the list, and save settings
in Presets.

Note:
When the selected paper type in the printer and the
printer driver differ, the following setting is applied.
❏ Genuine Epson paper is selected in the printer:
The printer driver setting is applied when printing.
❏ When custom paper is selected in the printer:
The printer setting is applied when printing.
