Loading MS-DOS
Before you can run a software program designed to
run on the MS-DOS operating system, MS-DOS itself
must be running in the Apex’s memory. Loading
MS-DOS into memory is called booting the system.
Once MS-DOS is loaded, you can give instructions to
the computer and begin to use various software
programs.
Loading MS-DOS is simple:
1. Insert your MS-DOS system diskette in the top
drive. Hold it with the label faceup and the notch
to the left. Be careful not to touch the diskette
surface. Slide the diskette into the disk drive:
