3.2 Troubleshooting When There is Error Display
This section describes troubleshooting for errors indicated by error display. After
identifying the error item, refer to the appropriate page for troubleshooting.
This section also describes troubleshooting for faulty operation of the printer.
3.2.1 Fuser warming up problem
Any of the following conditions is handled as a fuser warming up problem:
At start of warming up, the voltage of the thermistor is kept low over the
predetermined period of time.
The temperature detected by the thermistor within a period from 5 seconds
after to 9 seconds after start of warming-up was found below the standard
value over the predetermined period of time. (However, only when the
temperature detected by the thermistor is below 80°C.)
No temperature rise was detected by the thermistor for more than 3 seconds
within a period from the predetermined period of time after turning on of the
heater lamp to the turning off of the heater lamp.
The heater lamp was kept on for more than 30 seconds. (However, except
while the Main Motor is ON)

Troubleshooting here should be used only for errors that can not be
cleared even by following the instructions in EPSON Status
