Problem
Solution
The printout is not
what you expected.
FX emulation is not
selected even after you
set it in SelecType.
Incorrect characters are
printed.
Some or all of the
output is garbled or
printed as asterisks.
Your printer may not have been reset
after you changed your SelecType
settings. After you have set FX
emulation in SelecType and exited
SelecType, you must reset the printer
by holding down the CONTINUE/RESET
button for three seconds, until the
message RESET appears. This
procedure implements your SelecType
settings.
The wrong international character set
may be selected. See the FX emulation
submenu options section in Chapter 3
of this manual.
The wrong character table (italics or
Epson Extended Graphics) may be
selected. See the FX emulation
submenu options section in Chapter 3.
The printer cable may not be securely
connected to the printer or computer.
Check both ends of the cable.
