Universal Stand for mounting Eppendorf Micromanipulators
In addition to the safety precautions contained in the operating manual for the
micromanipulator, it is essential to observe the following:
– Before assembling the motor module, please ensure that the Universal stand is positioned
securely and that maximum stability is guaranteed!
– If an impulse of sufficient strength is applied, the levering arm of the Universal Stand cause
the module construction to tip over!
– Do not disassemble the module construction by simply loosening the magnet! If the feet of
the magnet are in the "Loose" position, the entire module construction may tip over!
– The Universal Stand is fitted with a powerful magnet. During Assembly/disassembly, this
could be problematic for persons wearing a pacemaker! In addition, other magnetic storage
media (e.g. credit cards, floppy disks) or magnetized objects (e.g. mechanical watches) may
cause problems when near the Universal Stand!
– Loosing the screws to the clamping plate when the module construction is altered or
adjusted may cause the module unit to slip downwards suddenly. This may cause serious
injury!
–Avoid vibrations when altering or aligning the module construction as this may damage the
motor module!
