8.3 System settings
Open the System node to set the following system settings.
Show free
system memory
 Mark the node System memory and press the function key Show.
The system memory is shown as a red-green marking at the lower end of the display
(red for the used memory, green for free memory).
 Press the Show function key again to hide the display.
Exporting the
log file
 Mark the Logfile node and press the Export or the Export 20 function key.
The log file or the last 20 entries of the log file are written to an MMC or USB storage
medium.
The log file can be displayed using the function key Show.
Changing date
and time
1. Mark the node Date + Time and press the function key Set.
2. Set date and time and confirm using OK.
Change country
settings
The country settings are indicated with the international area code (e.g. 001 for USA).
The language (German or English) as well as the date and time format (12 or 24 hour
format) are defined in the country settings.
1. Mark the node Country Settings and press the function key Set.
2. Select the required settings and confirm using OK.
The Mastercycler pro is immediately shut down. The modified settings apply after the
next start.
Activating or
deactivating the
acoustic signal
 Mark the node Beeper and activate or deactivate it.
If the red checkmark is set, the acoustic signal for error messages and key presses is
activated.

deactivating
PINs
Use the PIN node to define whether or not a PIN entry is required for working.
• Mark the node PIN and activate or deactivate it.
The control panel is immediately shut down. The modified settings apply after the
next start.
