10.1.2 Input lists and result lists
Input list
• ID list with information on source labware.
• The input list contains the IDs of the source positions.
• epBlue creates an input list for each source labware for which ID tracking is active.
• When using reagents with two IDs, e.g. for the type of the reagents and the batch number, one input list
contains two entries per position (see Making the basic settings for the epBlue ID on p. 117).
Result list
• ID list with information on destination labware and intermediate labware.
• The result list contains the IDs of destination positions and intermediate positions.
• epBlue creates a result list for each destination labware and intermediate labware for which ID tracking
is active.
• If samples with different source positions are combined in a single destination position (pooled) the
result list contains more entries for this position.
Tab. 10-2: ID lists and labware
ID lists for intermediate positions are created like ID lists for destination positions.
10.2 Commands for working with IDs
If the application carries out the following commands, ID lists are created:
• Sample Transfer
• Reagent Transfer – optional
• Dilute
• Pool
• Pool one Destination
• Vacuum
For the command Reagent Transfer, it is possible to switch on and off the tracking of IDs as an option (see
Making the basic settings for the epBlue ID on p. 117).
If the Show reagent IDs in result list option is not activated, no ID tracking will take place. IDs are
documented in the log and in the input list. They are not transferred to the result list.
