Technical information
4-8 CHAPTER 4
Video BIOS Cacheable: The default value is enabled.
Enabled : This field Enables the Video BIOS Cacheable to speed up the VGA
Performance.
Disabled: Disables the Video BIOS Cacheable function.
8/16 Bit I/O Recovery Time: The default value is 1.
8 Bit I/O Recovery Time: This field defines the recovery time from 1 to 8 for 8-
bit I/O.
16 Bit I/O Recovery Time: To define the recovery time from 1 to 4 for 16-bit I/O.
Memory Hole at 15M-16M: The default value is disabled.
Disabled: Normal Setting.
Enabled : This field enables the main memory (15~16MB) remap to ISA BUS.
This feature reserves 15MB to 16MB memory address space to ISA
expansion card that specifically requires this setting.
PCI 2.1 Compliance: The default value is Disabled.
Enabled: This field Enables the PCI 2.1 Compliance timing.
Disabled: Disables the PCI 2.1 timing.
Current CPU Temperature: This field will auto-detect the CPU temperature when
enter the CHIPSET FEATURES SETUP.
CPU Warning Temperature: The default value is 60C/140F.
The purpose of this setting is to enable the CPU temperature warning & protection
function so that we can detect and monitor the fluctuant temperature during system
operation.
If the cooling fan applied to the CPU does not have enough power to control and cool
down the heat or is broken while running, the indicator of the current CPU tempera-
ture will rise.
To protect the CPU while the temperature exceeds the CPU warning temperature
setting such as 60C (the default value), the alarm will activate and CPU speed will
slow down at the same time. At this moment, you have to save your data into disks
and then shut down system to cut off the alarm.
The thermal conductibility of a CPU and the cooling fan are the two key roles to
determine whether the overheat problem will happen or not. For example, if you are
using a high performance CPU but applying a low power cooling fan, the situation
mentioned on the above will happen.
The setting value is available from 50C/122F to 70C/158F.
Current Power FAN Speed: The current power fan speed in RPMS.
Current CPU FAN Speed : The current CPU fan speed in RPMS.
Current Chassis FAN Speed : The current chassis fan speed in RPMS.
VCore (V): The voltage level of the CPU Core.
V I/O(V) : The voltage level of the CPU I/O.
+ 5(V) : The voltage level of the power Supply.
+ 12 (V) : The voltage level of the power Supply.
