Disable the network discovery utility
The proprietary network discovery utility can be used to discover Epiphan systems on your network, see
Connect using the Epiphan discovery utility. The discovery utility uses port 5557 to discover the Pearl-2
devices on your network. You can disable Pearl-2 port 5557 using the Admin panel so that your Pearl-2 is not
discoverable on that port.
To disable the discovery utility port 5557 using the Admin panel:
1. Login to the Admin panel as admin, see Connect to the Admin panel.
2. From the Configuration menu, select Network. The Network configuration page opens.
3. Uncheck Make this device discoverable on the network as <uniqueID.local>, then click Apply.
